OrbitProof is developing an independent post-deployment assurance layer that correlates deployment, orbital and radio-frequency evidence to help establish spacecraft identity and early operational status.

Launch success is not mission success.

After separation, several different systems may hold different pieces of the truth.

The launch or deployment provider knows when a spacecraft was released. Tracking systems observe orbital objects. Ground stations detect radio signals. Mission teams receive spacecraft telemetry.

But especially after multi-satellite deployments, these observations may still need to be correlated before operators can confidently answer a simple question:

Which spacecraft is ours, where is it, and what has actually been confirmed?

Rather than replacing those systems, OrbitProof aims to correlate their observations into a traceable assessment of spacecraft identity and early mission status.

Produce a traceable evidence record showing what has been independently confirmed and where uncertainty remains.

Where the available observations do not support a conclusion, the intended behaviour is to report insufficient evidence rather than infer an answer.

Different evidence supports different conclusions. OrbitProof is being designed to preserve that distinction rather than collapsing every observation into a simple “satellite online” status.

Space is industrialising. Verification must scale with it.

Satellite production is increasing, rideshare missions are deploying larger groups of spacecraft, and Europe is expanding both sovereign launch capability and commercial satellite infrastructure.

As deployment scales, the operational challenge shifts from simply getting spacecraft into orbit to reliably establishing which spacecraft is where and what has happened after separation.

OrbitProof is investigating the assurance infrastructure needed for that transition.

The initial focus is on multi-spacecraft and rideshare deployments, where several similar spacecraft may enter closely related orbits within a short period.
